My initial thought on blogs was, 'How pretentious can we get?'. The fact that someone cared to know what you thought and what you had to say. If I want to know what a person thinks on a topic, I'd ask them. Really, how remote can we get with each other? But as my life has become busier due to inner and outer impositions on my time I begin to realize that it is not always easy to check in on everyone at all times. So as I have time, I like to peruse articles online and see what others are thinking, could someone else be doing the same thing...? It was then that I realized that blogs, from their personal aspect to the public domain they take on are nothing more than a diary without paper, pen and lock. A collection of personal takes and insights that are for me but open to others input. I am confronted with the purely cathartic purposes of being able to ponder the world in which I live and take notes from the experience of life and apply them to a versatile medium.
So as Joshua would say, 'Shall we play a game?' (War Games) - er, let's begin. I am a decidedly determined person with penchant for the odd. I stop and look at the world around us and can do 3 different things: Laugh, cry, or get angry. And those three prompt 3 more: follow the herd, be randomly dismissive as what does not affect me directly or engage the world in which I live as salt and light.. I find myself in all of the above. No greater than any man, nor am I any less. A lover of hard and fast categories; simply and tellingly put, a sinner, forgiven but still a fallen creature.
